Born in Istanbul, Can Uğurluer first discovered music when taking piano lessons before primary school. He studied singing at the Istanbul University Conservatory and took harmony lessons at Timur Selçuk Contemporary Music School.

During the 90s when he was studying mechanical engineering at İstanbul Technical University, Can participated in the Kuşadası Altın Güvercin Song Contest and sang in the Turkish Eurovision selection finals.

At the age of 21 he represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest together with İzel and Reyhan Karaca with the song “İki Dakika”. The song, composed by Şevket Uğurluer & Aysel Gürel and arranged by Turhan Yükseler, achieved 12th position in Rome.

In 1993, soon after Eurovision, he released an album together with Aysel Gürel, in which all the songs were written by Aysel Gürel and composed by Şevket Uğurluer, Metin Özülkü and himself. He worked with Turhan Yükseler as musical director.

After completing his Master’s degree in England in 1997 he spent a 15-year period working in the pharmaceutical industry in marketing and executive training. During that time he also released the single “Aşkım Sırrın Olsun”. He worked with Nerhan Hepşen, Tansel Doğanay and Berkan Kaya on the production of the song.

Today Can is freelance: Beyond continuing with training, he also offers concerts together with his dynamic and experienced orchestra conducted by musical director Berkan Kaya. A happy time full of well-known sounds is guaranteed for all, with a variety of songs both old and new.
